About Our Rat Shows Ratapalooza is a family-friendly rat show event for people of all ages. Our shows started back in 2000, we have been holding multiple shows a year for all rat lovers to enjoy. Our goals include educating the public about rats, promoting local rescue groups, and bringing together the rat community. Ratapalooza involves a standards show (think cat or dog show on a much smaller scale) and a fun pet show as well as plenty of learning and socializing opportunities with other rat lovers. We have many breeders from across the Northwest, as well as several rescue groups who would love to fix you up with your new best friend. Additionally, there are lots of vendors of hammocks, supplies and unique arts and crafts that celebrate rats as pets, not pests. Please note that rats are not sold at our events. This is because we firmly believe that rats are not impulse purchases. The wellbeing of the rats always comes first. Ratapalooza is organized and funded by volunteers from RatsPacNW Rat Fanciers Club, a 501(c)4 non-profit organization for rat lovers from the Pacific Northwest.
