Instructions for filling out your entry form and choosing the correct variety & section for your rat.
For pictures & descriptions of standards click here

1.  Is your rat a Solid color or Marked?
     If there are no white markings and your rat is one color than your rat is a solid, choose that category.
     Does your rat have two colors?  If so, it is "Marked," choose that category

2.  Choose the "Variety" that best fits your rat (body, ear, or hair type):
       Standard (ears & hair)
       Dumbo ears
       Rex (curly fur, coarser)
       Velveteen (wavy fur, softer)
       Harley
       Double Rex (parents were both rex, looks like part hairless, part haired)
       Satin (longer, fine hair, soft with a sheen)
       Tailless
       Hairless (no hair on body)
       Dwarf

3.  Find the section by selecting a category:

      Sections under "Solids" available are:
        Self (solid color hair shaft, single color);
        Ticked (multi color hair shaft, single color);
        Silvered (50/50 mix of silver & single color hairs)
        Shaded - Himalayan, Siamese & solid merled rats

    Sections available under "Marked" are:
        Marked
        Shaded -
Merles with markings

3.  Choose the correct color, mark, shading under the section you choose for your rat.  Please use the colors listed as these are the names chosen by our club.  If you have another color not listed it may be unstandardized.
